Meet Natalie
Meet our Team
Dr. Natalie Marshall is the founder and owner of Vitalize Physical Therapy. She is a Hoosier native. After being away from Indiana for a few years, she is happy to be back. Natalie moved to Indy in the spring of 2016 and quickly realized there was a need for quality, hands-on physical therapy that’s not dictated by health insurance. That’s when Vitalize Physical Therapy was created.
Her patients say she has a unique, holistic approach. She is determined to help patients get to the root cause of their pelvic and orthopedic issues so they can return to doing the things they love to do without pain or embarrassment. She also has a passion for learning, staying current with evidence-based research, and improving her skills with specialty courses. She combines her passion for unconventional therapy with her extensive professional training, making a great blend of "east meets west" physical therapy.
Natalie holds a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Movement and Sports Science from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.
Outside the clinic, Natalie loves spending time with God, her husband Ryan, daughters Gianna and Colette and goldendoodle Hadley, summer weekends at the lake, rearranging the house every new season, enjoying a good glass of wine with friends, local foodie restaurants, gardening, walking barefoot, being outside in nature especially near water, road trips and weekend getaways, chemical-free products and learning ways we can reduce our toxic load, and talking about her 3 favorite topics (pee, poop, and sex) with everyone she meets.
Dr. Laura Grabowski has been a part of the Vitalize Physical Therapy family since May 2019. She followed her three older siblings to Purdue University for undergrad and then went on to Duke University where she achieved her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. After working in Memphis, TN for a year at a Pelvic Specialty Clinic, Laura moved back to the Indianapolis area in 2016 to best fulfill her duties as the world’s greatest aunt.
Her patients say she is thorough and approachable, creating an effective and safe environment for therapeutic healing. Patients are impressed with her whole body approach and ability to explain the depth and interconnected nature of the body to the mind. Laura has a drive for learning all she can about the human body so that you can feel better faster while still honoring the natural healing process. After completing multiple pelvic floor continuing education courses, she became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy (WCS) in July 2018. She also has training in trigger point dry needling, visceral manipulation and craniosacral therapy; providing a more complete and holistic approach to physical therapy.
During her free time, you can find Laura doing yoga, spending time outdoors, and listening to podcasts. She enjoys hiking with her husband, AJ, and their two dogs, Harvey and Poppy. She welcomed her first daughter, Margo, in December 2021 and has cherished bonding with her and watching her grow. Laura loves learning about other cultures -- especially trying new foods! Laura’s big family and extroverted nature keeps her social calendar busy with birthday parties, weddings, long weekend adventures, and frequent trips to the Indianapolis Zoo with her adorable nieces and nephews.
Dr. Katye Tuyo is happy to be a part of the Vitalize Physical Therapy family, with a passion for getting to the root cause for true healing to happen. Born into a family that bleeds Black and Gold, she attended Purdue University where she graduated with a degree in Athletic Training. It was there she discovered a natural ability to feel what is happening below the skin and a love for manual therapy was born. She continued on to the University of Indianapolis where she achieved her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation from UIndy, Katye remained in the Indianapolis area treating patients with orthopedic and pelvic health conditions, continuing to grow her holistic approach to help patients heal.
Her patients say she is a good listener and uses a personalized hands-on method. She focuses on creating an optimal environment to enable the body’s innate healing process. She takes a “zoomed-out” approach in order to determine contributing factors, while simultaneously focusing on the root cause of symptoms. Katye is a lifelong learner, stays up to date on current research, and loves continuing education to learn new techniques and perfect her skills.
When not at the clinic, you can find Katye spending time with her dog Harvey. She enjoys traveling, going on family trips, rollerblading with her pup, advocating and educating on non-toxic personal products, and growing her own fresh veggies in the garden. On Saturday mornings you will likely find her at one of her favorite places, the farmer’s market, where she enjoys trying new foods and supporting the local community.
Laurette Cannaley is our Client Care Specialist. She loves being part of a team that is dedicated to helping others. She is eager to assist patients on their unique healing journey.
Laurette attended Ball State University where she gained her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and then went on to Ivy Tech where she achieved her Associates Degree in Physical Therapy. Laurette spent the 14+ years working as a Physical Therapy Assistant. During that time she achieved a Specialty Certification in Orthopedics, served as a clinic instructor and coordinator, and began training in Women’s Health.
In her free time, she enjoys baking and completing puzzles. She also loves to spend time reading, playing board games, taking bike rides, and traveling with her family.
Hadley Rose is our Canine Executive Officer (CEO). She's been with the Vitalize team since the beginning and is arguably the most important part of therapy. She is always happy to greet each patient with a few excited barks, proceeded by tail wags, spins, and kisses. She loves affection and “touch” is her love language. Belly rubs are her all-time favorite!
Once she helps patients feel welcomed, she is ready and eager to help them safely reach their treatment room. She will make sure you are comfortable at the beginning but is not afraid to sleep on the job to conserve her energy. Don’t worry, if you ever need a distraction during an awesome dry needling session - she's your girl! She has a sixth sense for needling and has trained herself to wake up when she is needed for comfort. Beware if you lock eyes with her . . . she has a way of staring deep into your soul.
When she isn't working hard in the clinic as our therapy dog, she enjoys playing with toys (her current favorite is a loud squeaking furry badger), hanging out and snuggling with mom, dad, Gianna and Colette, watching and interacting with dog movies, smelling and kissing babies (especially if they coo or cry), playing in creeks and lakes in the warmer months, observing squirrels and occasionally chasing them, and being the center of attention everywhere she goes (partly due to her cuteness, and partly due to the fact that she is a Leo).
